Art of Parenting: Kapua

Kapua is the Hawaiian term for "flower" and "child".

The Art of Parenting: Kapua is a ten-week program for parents and caregivers of children ages 0-5. Parents meet once to learn about early childhood development, parental and child needs and challenges.

Kapua is a trauma-informed, healing-centered educational program. To implement the program, Hui International’s team partners with agencies in the United States with state and county funding and Afghanistan though private donations.

Kapua is one of the first evidenced-informed programs in the United States to embed components on PACEs.
